Day 140 – Thursday 15th September – Addendum

Forgot to mention that Karen has decided to come home for the weekend starting tomorrow night (2 nights, 2 days effectively). We have a few defences in mind to counter the sleepless nights that made last weekend so difficult.

So, blogs may be sparse over the weekend.

ALSO, another bit of good news !

Tony Sagar (ex work colleague of Karen) has managed to convert Karen’s single Donny Osmond ticket into a wheelchair ticket, so she can still go and see him in concert at the Metro Radio Arena in Gateshead. Last time Donny came to Newcastle, kp couldn’t use her ticket because she wasn’t feeling well. So, she is over the moon at being able to go this time and a bonus will be that the disabled area is probably very close to the stage. :-) I am going also (yay !) to look after her. But I may well take some Y-fronts and chuck them at Donny in the excitement !

30th September, Donny WATCH OUT !

    Hi ya Karen,
well you have been doing brilliantly, I know you will have enjoyed the visit from Tracy.
Dp, Marie and Michelle as always you are there.
Thanks for the birthday phone call Karen.
Thanks for the birthday text Michelle.
    Much appreciated!!!!!!!!
Jane rang yesterday and told me about the new car, well I could hear/see the big grin in her voice as she told me. WHAT A SURPRISE!! I bet Tony’s happy this weekend. Know what I mean!!!!!!!
Dp, why does the blog ask me for word verification before I publish? It never used to, I have no idea what’s going on, I bet it has something to do with all these bloody stats we have, honestly I feel like I’m back at work. If I don’t do the word verification it does’nt publish my blogs. So bit it then, but as always Dp, your blogs are brill.

Any way Karen on to the next plan. I’ve got appointments next week, Monday 9 a.m. and Wed 9 a.m so I thought I may drive up Wednesday after my appointment. Then on Friday I need to drive to Swindon (Swining Swindon – not!) for a weekend with friends to celebrate my birthday.
So how does that sound? I suppose you are off on your travels to Esh Winning at the weekend.
I just have to say that the visits home look wonderful, even though I know they are/will be very emotional for you at times, but never forget that Esh Winning is the goal, after that its anything you want, there’ll be no holding you back, for that I’m sure.
Everything is ok down here, Irene worries about both of us now, as you know. I don’t know what to say to her, I find it hard to explain about me. I’ll tell you about our Karens tooth when I see you. Honestly she can be a wimp.

    Hi Marie,
put me in the visitors diary for next week, should be there late, Wed p.m, Thursday any time, Friday a.m I may rest as I’ve a long journey to Swindon. Does that sound OK? Kp, it would be great to have some time together. Marie, thanks again for the wine. XX

Karen I sent a blog last week about a web site for bra’s. (but I don’t think you got the blog?) Its the shop I use so you may want to visit http://www.bravissimo.com. Otherwise we’ll talk when I visit.

Janice my friend says hello, how’s about lunch next Thursday. Look forward to seeing you, as always. Keep up that work with the main man.
Love to you and all hospital visitors.
    Take care
    See you soon
    Lots of Love

    Hello Karen,
I’m sat here, it’s 11.30 p.m. and there is a full moon. Shinning light that is better than sun light. A light with depth and shadows that are beautiful. The other week myself and Jane sat outside the caravan and there was a sky full of stars, some thing we don’t get in London. I was amazed, just like I am tonight with this full moom in the sky. I can see the craters, mountains, who knows what they are but I can tell you now its beautiful, amazing, a whole moon in the sky, with light and shadows that are unbelievable, even in my little flat. Sleep tight, enjoy the moon and stars, we’ll speak soon.
    Lots of Love
