Very good day today.

kp had to be up early to be at physio for 8.30am. Today, she had a session on “dry land” and the physio was able to get Karen kneeling on the floor and then sitting on the floor. Apparently, it was agony the first time and it progressively got better as her knees relearned how to flex that far.

kp had long been wanting to get on the floor, so she can give the dogs a love, weed etc etc….At the moment, she can only get on the floor with an object (like a sofa) next to her, as she uses this to prop herself up, but hopefully weeding will eventually be a possibility without me having to lug the sofa outside.

When we got home from physio, kp demonstrated her new moves. It took a while for her to get on the floor and I had wished I would have videod it (next time maybe).

But, I did take a photo albeit a bloody awful one. Here is kp sitting on the carpet in front of the black sofa. It’s a little bit blurred ! (ahem)

But hopefully you get the gist.

It was a lovely day apart from that. I was working from home, but joined kp to watch Andy Murray beat a frenchman. We did quite a bit of talking today, and it is very clear that kp is absolutely DREADING her operation this Thursday.

She is very frightened that something is going to go wrong. I have tried to reassure her, but she remains very anxious.

Thankfully, she has enough on between now and Thursday to keep her very occupied.

• Saturday/Sunday – Mum and Dad’s (barbecue), Jane’s (sister) to watch the football and see the kids
• Monday – Adele is coming up to do the cleaning and Karen has a pre-op assessment at the hospital in the afternoon
• Tuesday – Debs and Lydia may be coming over in the morning. Marge and Kath are coming over in the afternoon
• Wednesday – Physio at lunchtime.

So, busy week !
