Day 193 – Monday 7th November
What an AWFUL night. I thought we had cracked nights. How wrong I could be !
3 commode trips. One clearing up dog wee, because Bonnie (one of our 3 lady German Shepherds) was scared of the fireworks and wouldn’t go out. It seems all my bitches have bladder issues 
Christ, I am gonna get it when kp reads that one
To make matters worse, I had to be up at the crack of dawn to get the dogs walked before I had to be at the dentist at 9am for a filling. When I got back, kp wanted to sleep some more, so she ended up getting out of bed about 11am.
She sent an email after breakfast and then we went for a 35 minute snooze. That’s all the time we had before we had to leave for the hospital.
No sooner we were back at the hospital than it was time for physio. kp had had some pain in her groin area over the weekend. I thought it was wind, because she packs a Force 9 Gale for emergency embarassment. But the main man moved her hips, back, legs and sussed that it was to do with her right hip not having as much movement as it should. And because of this, the muscles in the groin (rightside) tighten up
He knows his stuff and it seemed spot on. He suggested some exercises that may help. She can do them in bed and they involve raising her right leg and moving it outwards and inwards in a certain fashion.
Physio over, I got kp dressed for bed (3.30pm) and left her watching TV as I went to start preparations for the big day – Coming home day

That is the best video I’ve seen in ages!! I can’t believe how well you are walking unaided and what tremendous progress you have made. Even though i have been reading the blog and see the pics on the stairs etc I don’t think I expected to see you move so well, bloody brilliant!
Will have to come after work on Thurs, look forward to seeing you. Save any jobs for danielle!!!

Hi Dp,
you are in such big (s**t) dippy do doo’s. Claiming that you now have 4 bitches!! Talking about snoring and those north easterly winds that Kp can create. Glad I’m not in your shoes.
As for your transformation into a woman you are doing a bloody good job. As for Kp, I’ve never known her to want to go clothes shopping so much. Between me and you (and everyone else who is reading the blog) I reckon she’s just taking advantage of being wheeled in her chair, whilst clothes shopping – it works for me Kp so keep it going for as long as you can. The only thing is, Dp could not wheel my bulk up that bloody hill in Durham, what were you two thinking about anyway? Well at least you’ve conquered cobbled streets, I hope you both feel so much better.
Can’t wait to see you Thursday – make me a list of duties, I’m there to serve.
Spoke to Jane today, it’s great she can stay the night considering her hectic Christmas schedule. I must tell her to bring some cards and wrapping paper, she could make good margins on Thursday.
The delayed (Vd & Jb) birthday present will be arriving with me, sorry about the delay, but it was one of those last minute ideas, I hope you think it’s better than buying you a dressing gown, which is what Jb said!!! Hello and she was knocking the bed coat, she was only one notch down with the dressing gown. Oh I fear I may have said too much, I’ll shut up now before its too late.
Don’t know what you thought of the “tart quiz” for the party, perhaps not if Mr & Mrs P are coming.
I must remember to bring some CD’s with me for the party, we can do the “pop qizzers” thing again. Or perhaps we can all just chill and have a great time. I must stop coming up with ideas.
Anyway some gossip to tell you when I get there, but hey I already know what you’ll say in response.
Take care, the Kp coming out day cannot come soon enough. Having said that its been a bloody long time coming, (only joking), but there are still hurdles Karen, so keep on going. In the walking video you looked so quick and nimble, it was great. With the dogs barking in the background and David doing his “are you ok love” what could be more normal than that.
Tell the Main Man (i.e. Physio & helpers), Doctors, Nurses, Consultants, not forgetting Frank, a big thank you from all Bloggers!!!!! But the biggest thank you of all goes to you Karen, for fighting so hard and never giving up, good god you are made of solid stuff, but why couldn’t you manage a few port and lemons when we were younger? In those days after half a dozen port & lemons, we were retrieving you from the loo, sticking you in a taxi, saying “18 Garvin Close mate and here’s the money”. Perhaps we only did that a couple of times, but it adds to the legend and that’s you my friend.
Love you lots, and I expect a blog from David I, now that I’ve sussed out who he is, before, or on your coming out party!!

Shopping trip sounded great fun,another of your many talents has come to light,Hair stylist,doctor,nurse,with a wonderful bedside mannner,fashion guru,is there no end to your hubbies talents Karen,( keep it clean KP..) Brilliant to see the Video and the progress you have made ….expect to see you dancing in the next one…..but not like you used to when the bay city rollers were on at school disco’s please!!(remember my trousers with tartan down the sides!!!).
