Day 242 – Boxing Day
We both had a great night’s sleep. kp loves the bed at mum and dad’s.
After a morning cuppa, we had quite a few visitors (family and friends of the Pollards) around for a nice buffet lunch Mum had put on. And more champagne. kp was feeling a bit tipsy again – Go Girl !!
Then it was Panto time. Oh no, it wasn’t……….Oh Yes, it was. I can’t hear you. Oh Yes, it was. I still can’t hear you. Oh shut up blithering David.
The Panto was at the Lowry Centre in Manchester. It was ok. kp slept through most of it as did my mother and father. The kids weren’t that interested after the first 15 minutes, but apart from that it was well worth the trip I enjoyed it anyway !
Mum and Dad are out tonight, so kp and I will be watching a bit of tv and then retiring, once I have sorted mum’s 140 viruses out on her pc.

Hi you two,
it sounds like you have both had a wonderful Christmas, glad to hear the bed aids sleep, minus the clock.
The Lowry centre is a stones throw from our Customer Service Centre in Manchester, can’t believe you two were so close to where I spend somuch time!!! Or used to spend time.
I’m sat here blogging in my fleece dressing gown which was my number one presie from Santa. It’s so so comfy.
I’ve done so much driving this Chistmas around the M25, I’ve not stopped. Christmas day plans went to pot (due to driving around the M25), I got to our Alans 2 mins before lunch was being served. I’ve done the M25 again today, including Heathrow, then back home, then back on the M25 again to Mams, then my final journey on the M25 home tonight. I am the only nomadic member of the Dennison family.
To end on a great note, on Christmas Day Laura, was wearing a fleece top. I said “who got you your top” Laura replied, very matter of fact, “Santa!!”. Like durhh Auntie Ronnie, what a stupid question, with a roll of her eyes. There was no doubt, it had happend Santa had delivered it. It was great to see her smile and the fact that she still believes, now thats what its all about, especially as she’s ten years old. She still believes that everything she finds in her stocking at the end of her bed is delivered by Santa, all other presents are from everyone else.
Having said that it was sad to drop them off at Heathrow this morning, how I wish I could see Jack and Laura ski. They were so excited, Jack was awake at 6 this morning. They have taken the video recorder so I’m sure to see a good show when they return. Still feeling a bit sad though. Especially when I think of the hugs I got from Jack when I dropped them off at the airport.
I did Boxing Day with Mam, Dad, Trishia, Jeff, their kis etc, made Irene rest and did most of the cooking chores. She desereves it, although she sends me to distraction at times.
Trishia and Jeff asked about you both today, you are both a marvel to us all. Everyone in the immediate and extended Dennison family wishes you both well.
Will speak soon, back on the motorway tomorrow down to Farnham.
Safe journey home
Lots of Love
Veronica
