Day 227 – Sunday 11th December
Uneventful day
kp had a snooze in the afternoon and we had braising steak for tea. Going to watch the Royal Variety Show tonight.
kp’s patch is working well and she feels a lot less pain, at the expense of tiredness !

Hello you two,
I’m back from Portsmouth and a bit knackered, I’m so not used to partying.
I went to meet Janice (from Whitley Bay) at Kings Cross 9.30 Friday night, so that I could quickly wisk her through central London on the tubes. I’m so sad, knowing which end of the platform to stand for the quickest access to the next tube etc. We quickly caught a train to Surbiton and drove down to Portsmouth arriving at 11.30 p.m.
I could not sleep at all on Friday night and gave up the ghost at 2.30 a.m and layed on the sette till morning.
Karen and Cath arrived the next day. As some of her friends were short of funds Babs kindly cooked us all a 3 course meal on Saturday evening. Obviously the evening was made up of Strictly Come Dancing and X Factor. We voted for the X Factor to be taped and guess what, Babs taped the wrong channel. It didn’t stop the evenings entertainment. The wine flowed not by the glass but the bottle, in enourmous amounts. After the meal we held our own drunken version of Strictly Come Dancing. There were 5, 40-something women, prancing around Bab’s living room trying to waltz and rumba etc.
12.30 a.m found the majority of friends departing to bed, apart from myself and Karen, who decided to open yet another bottle of wine and stayed up gassing till 3.30 a.m.
Karen had to get up early (8.00 a.m) the next moring. It was a case of one up, all up. She had to get to Reading to host her daughters joint 5th birthday party!!
I drove back home with Jancie on Sunday afternoon, thankfully she said she could get herself to Kings Cross. I reckon I’d only had about 5 hours sleep all weekend. I got home layed on the sofa and woke up hours later. I’ve had a good nights sleep so I’m fully charged for my journey tomorrow.
I’ll give Jane a ring today, I hope she’s feeling better.
Kp – Great to know you’ve got even more new tricks.
I need to know what bus to get from Durham, either email me or call today.
Take care
Cheers
Ronnie

Hi Karen & David,
just catching up on the blog after a fab week at a spa hotel in malta, birthday surprise for my mum. Had a great time and know what you mean about the massages, so relaxing ( and good at shifting the toxins!)
Great to see/hear your progress, keep at it!
Love Sue
