Day 35 – Thursday 2nd June – Addendum
There’s a couple of things I forgot to mention about yesterday. I can only remember one of them.
The one I can remember relates to a visit we had from Karen Lax’s husband and daughter. Karen Lax was next to Karen in the Intensive Care Unit. She was a little older than Karen but similar in many ways, very loving husband and family, big Donny Osmond Fan and you might recall both Karen’s were due to see Donny Osmond in concert in September 2005.
We got quite close to the family and enjoyed hearing each other’s progress.
Sadly, Karen Lax died in Intensive Care. Marie arranged for a card to be sent to the family to say how sorry we are that Karen didn’t make it. Today, Karen’s husband and daughter came in to see how Karen was doing, which was so nice of them. Karen’s husband was understandably still upset and this made the visit so much more special. Thank you !!!
They brought with them a card and a Donny Osmond photo that Karen Lax had. This is now on Karen’s wall.
Thank you.
You are all in our thoughts.

Hi all,
So Karen you slept nearly all day yesterday good for you, sleep is as good as a feed so they say. Im getting good at all these sayings dont you think. You will do anything to get out of eating but dont think I have forgotten kp you are in for a telling off when I see you.
When I read the blog it amazes me how many people take the time to say or do something nice for you Karen. It just shows there are far more nice people in the world than bad. Take care all Margo

Hi Karen and David, just returned today from a weeks holiday and was eager to catch up on your progress. Great that you are out of ICU and making such progress. I will ring Marie to arrange to visit, I hope there are some slots left as you are very popular, all the cards and blog comments prove this, keep it up, see you soon.
Best Wishes Sue

It was great to see you to day Karen, even though you were in your ‘WEE WILLY WINKY’ pose. Thanks for saying a few words in your sleepy voice, it was lovely to here you talk. Mind we are used to you been a lot more vocal! We are happy that we have seen you, but next time we want a full performance. As David did say we would be refunded for this visit and compensated on our return:) keep up the good fight Karen. David you are a marvel. Take Care and see you both soon, love Tracy & Lee.
