We are all Over the Moon that the op went well…was clock watching and praying all day yesterday, all prayers answered thank you very much. got text at 4pm (Cheers Marie)did not expect to hear anything until at least 5, so relief all round. Well, Buzby was busy after that,(Remember him?-Showing my age now!)-phoned everyone with good news, and singing your praises..All credit to you Karen of course, your strong will and determination is shining through big style..Everyone sends their love and is thinking of you. PS…Did you know your husband had cheerleading skills Karen? LOL-Wait till you read Day 20..

Apologies for the delay, you must think that everyone South of Manchester is a: bloody rude for not contacting you and b: have forgotten about you but those good people North of Manchester Guy and Jane kindly forwarded your web page to Simon and I the other day and we have read all your diary entries so at last we can post and share in Karen’s challenge. To say that when we heard the news a couple of weeks back we were stunned/horrified was an understatement. What the hell was that prat doing? But hey that is a conversation for another day.

Have just checked today and seen that Karen has had her op and it is amazing news that she has come through the op and is still fighting andlaughing is totally inspirational. I share your comments about consultants – having spent the best part of 18 years dealing with consultants on my own medical problems – believe me, you really do develop a thick skin and the ability to challenge everything they try to fob you off with – stick with it.

I am going to print off all of your weblogs from April and so far in May and send them to John and Melda Boxall so that they can keep up with the news. Being in their 70′s I am afraid the computer age has passed them by but at least we can keep them updated using good old fashioned snail mail. When Simon and I speak to them each week, their first questions are “have you heard any more news about Karen?” so at least this can give them some info.

It is pointless trying to say how sorry we are about what happened – saying sorry doesn’t really do or say anything much that will help you but believe me everyone South of Manchester are thinking about Karen and you and we will keeping reading, posting and talking to everyone until she finally comes home to you.
